Bob Groves (1931-2007)

Dad was a true inspiration, a gentle, decent, caring and patient man....the complete gentleman. A perfect father, Grandpa and husband.
His sense of humour was legendary and the way he coped with his condition was truly dignified. Dad suffered from Muscular Dystrophy but never once complained, he accepted his condition and lead a completely normal life. He was, quite simply, remarkable.
Dad, we will all so miss spending time with you, we will miss our glasses of wine and single malt....we promise never to pollute our whisky with ice or mixers!...after all like you used to say...
' The only thing you should put in a wee dram....is another wee dram'
You will never be forgotten. We love you so much.
Dad learnt how to use a computer during his retirement so we thought it was apt to set up an online memorial for his friends and familiy to leave their thoughts. Rather than send flowers Bob's family would prefer that you make a donation, no matter how small, to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Muscular Dystrophy Campaign will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
