About our charity : The Aspinall Foundation The Aspinall Foundation
The Aspinall Foundation in conjunction with Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks in Kent is devoted to saving rare and endangered animals and returning them to protected areas in the wild. These activities include the management of two gorilla rescue and rehabilitation projects in Congo and Gabon, Central Africa, where we have successfully reintroduced over fifty western lowland gorillas. Forty-three of these are wild-born gorillas, orphans of the bush meat trade. As a charity we rely on the support of the general public to help fund our work. Working together with The Aspinall Foundation your support will make a real difference to the future of the western lowland gorilla and other endangered animals whose future is in all our hands. "TOTALLY WILD CHALLENGE" 10K Bike ride  6th September 2008

I cannot pretend to be a keen fit bike rider in fact the only reason I am getting on it at all is to help raise money for our conservation projects. This year  alone the foundation has sent a pair of rhinoceroses back to Tanzania & three young gorillas to the Gabon. We are also supporting projects in Indonesia, Cambodia & Africa. Without the generous help of people like you none of the seventy gorillas saved by the Foundation and now living in the wild would be alive today
