Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mencap will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
I started learning to ride a motorcycle in 2006 at the age of 52 so I know lots about how hard it can be to learn. Sheila is my third bike but my first "real" one. As you can see, she is a beautiful 790cc Triumph Bonneville and I will be striving to ride 540 miles on her in the 20 hours of this year's Interphone National Road Rally, the 75th anniversary of that event.
I passed my basic motorcycle test last August and have been training to be an advanced rider since then. My longest ride so far is 310 miles and although I've ridden all kinds of road and traffic conditions, crowded motorway down to single track country lanes, crossing the Pyrenees even, this is likely to be my toughest challenge todate.
You're never too old to learn so please sponsor me now!
PS: The donations page will show your name and any comments you would like to leave us, if you wish to remain anonymous for this purpose, please just type ANONYMOUS in the name / nickname section when filling out your details.
Many thanks for your support.
