UPDATE - Well as most of you will probably be aware of we actually managed to complete the Bogle! Well four of us did which is pretty good going for an event that only about 40% of people manage to finish. Two of us finished in 21 hours 49 minutes and the other two in 22 hours 17 minutes.

It was incredibly hard as we imagined it would be and I don't think any of us have truly recovered yet. It's left us with sore knees, painful shins, ugly blisters (see photos!) and a huge desire to never set foot in Oldham ever again.

A very big thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it truly is a massive amount of money you have raised and you should all feel rightly proud of yourselves. It has comfortably passed any expectation I had.

If you haven't donated yet then don't worry as this page will still be open taking donations for a while yet. Please donate whatever you can as I think everyone can be in agreement that it is a fantastic and worthy cause.

Thank you once again for your support.

Dave G, Matt, Dave N, Daniel, Phil

Everyone knows someone who has had cancer. So the five of us have decided to take on the challenge of the Manchester Bogle Stroll to raise money for the Christies Cancer hospital. Christies treat more than 40,000 patients for cancer each year as well as being a leader in international research.

The Bogle Stroll is a 55 mile walk around Manchester, starting on the evening of Friday 5th March 2011 and (hopefully!) finishing the day after. The stroll is longer than two marathons walked back to back. It's fair to say the fitness of our group is pretty shoddy. It should be interesting and of course documented in pictures for your amusement.

We are aiming for a time of around 20 hours and to all finish together. For more information on the event, see http://www.wix.com/mancheser_rag_bogle/bogle-website.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for visiting our site. Christies save thousands of lives each year and they can only continue to do this through charity and the generosity of people like you. Please give as much as you can, even if it's only a little. It all counts.

Thank you
