Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, which has been created in memory of Mr Colin Yamamoto, a one-of-a-kind man who was taken from us too soon. He was a dear friend to many people, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Colin had many passions in life, and Battery Hen Welfare was one of them. Hence this page has been set up in his memory, with the aim of helping out some of the hens he cared so much about. Remember, hens go 'bok', not 'cluck' !

10-06-09... THANK YOU  everyone, we've met our initial target!! So I'm upping it, lol....

10-07-09... you've done it again!! So we're upping it again, lol.... there are going to be some very happy chickens out there :)

Here’s what your donations pay for:

£5     -  25kg sack of poultry feed

£6     -  bale of first grade shavings (hen bedding)

£10   -  cat basket (chicken basket, if you prefer! )

£25   -  30l water drinker

£30   -  poultry crate

£32   -  adult poultry feeder

£140 - custom made tarpaulins (for the trailers)

£300 - small hen house

£500 - medium hen house

£800 - trailer (carries 192 hens)

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to make sure the Battery Hen Welfare Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.

NB If you would like to be kept updated on progress with the fund, and also our 'BOK' stickers when they become available, please just put in a tick where it says ' Allow the creator of this fundraising page to see my email address and contact me if they want ' on the Contact Preferences part of the payment process.
