Story
Between 5th and 24th August 2012, JSG will be doing his annual charity stint. This time, driving from Bolton, UK to Bishkek, Krygysztan for Build Africa.
I've been told that rallying across Africa - twice, driving to Georgia when the Russian tanks were invading, getting trapped in Sierra Leone, and trekking to Syria in the middle of a civil war just aren't worthy of sponsorship any more.
So, I'm hoping this is... 5,000 miles across 15 countries to 200 miles short of the Chinese border with less than 4 weeks from deciding to do it to being out of the country and en-route. I need to buy a broken car for £200, fix it, sort its paperwork, arrange for official invitations into countries, get several visas from foreign embassies, arrange crossings, plan the route, pack...
...and now get rid of the awful stench of dog from the vehicle I've bought. That comes before fixing it.
