I started fundraising a number of years ago in memory of my late dad and my brother andrew who died from a genetic condition haemachromatosis that i also will develop and my mum Judy who died of a heart attack cause by cancer in 2007.

I will be taking on a number of challenges in 2009 including cycling the distance around the equator (24,901) on a turbo trainer.

Leukemia Research Fund, Ellen Macarthur Trust (Inspiring children to recovery from cancer through sailing), Weldmar Hospice (Dorchester), Jane Tomlinson's appeal, The Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund, Huntingtons, Haemachromatosis Society, Simon Field appeal (Went into coma New Years day 2007), British Paralympic Association (Sailing and Rowing).

Because of the size of the challenges i wanted to support of a number charities each has a personal reason.
