Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm attempting to break the world marathon skipping record, which involves skipping for over 27 hours for the Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. Thanks Herol.
So heres what's happening on the weekend of the 8th May...
Skipping for 27 hours? That’s what Herol’s going to do… for the Children of Sheffield!
Children and Sheffield mean everything to boxing legend Herol ‘Bomber’ Graham and that’s why he is attempting to break the World Marathon Skipping Record to raise money for Sheffield’s Children Hospital … and give Sheffield another world champion!
Herol, former British, Commonwealth and European boxing champion keeps in tip top condition at his gym, where he continues to work as a fitness and boxing instructor. The World Marathon Skipping Record currently stands at 27 hours and was set back in 2003 in Australia. Herol, who last year completed a 24 hour skipping marathon, believes this record can be broken. He's enlisted a team of experts from Sheffield Hallam University's Sports and Exercise Science to help him do it.
It's all happening on the 8th and 9th May at Ponds Forge, where Herol will be joined by skipping ‘buddies’ and local celebrities to help him in his attempt to break the World Marathon Skipping Record and at the same time use the opportunity to raise money for one of his chosen charities, Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
As Herol said, “that skipping record has been in Australia far too long ….” Help Herol in his cause to bring another world Record to Sheffield … for all the children of Sheffield!
Date: Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th May 2010
Venue: Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield
Charity: All profits and money raised from the event will go to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
