GLOBAL ANGEL'S 2010 EVEREST EXPEDITION
In 2010 i hope to break two British records. I want to become the youngest female Brit to have ever stood on the summit of Mount Everest- the highest point on earth!
I want to fly the Global Angel's flag at the summit in order to spread the message- step up, be an Angel!
My challenge starts now, with lots of sponsorship to raise and far too much training to do!
I will hopefully also break another record in the process- by being the youngest female Brit to summit the sixth highest mountain in the world- Cho Oyu, an impressive summit in the Himalayas, and i leave this August, only 8 months to go!
As you can see, there's going to be plenty going on this coming year- much like Global Angel's themselves who are working flat out to spread their message and raise money for a good cause.
I would like to raise a substantial sum for this charity- it's not very often that records are broken, and i'm hoping this challenge will inspire others to step up and be an angel themselves, after all- it's not good enough to BE good, you have to DO good.
During the next 15 months (i leave in March 2010) i am going to be blogging online, writing a column in my local newspaper and updating this page where ever possible- so keep up to date with what i'm doing and spread the word about breaking this British record!
