London to Paris Cycle · 18 September 2013

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This Autumn, I will be travelling out to Botswana with CWB, to support their work in helping, educating and developing local communities in HIV/AIDS awareness, through the spread and growth of cricket.

In 2011 there were an estimated 23.5 million people living with HIV/Aids in Sub-Saharan Africa. This figure represents a staggering 69% of the global HIV/Aids burden, which currently stands at 34 million. In 2009, Botswana had a prevalence rate of 24.8% of the population living with AIDS. You can find out more at www.cricketwithoutboundaries.com

In order to support this fantastic cause, I will be going out and supporting their project in Botswana this autumn. To help raise money for CWB, I will be cycling all the way to Paris (approx 300 miles) this September.

I am covering expenses of both trips, so all money raised on this page will go straight to the charity, and support the great work they do.

Any contribution will be greatly received!
