Boss in Detention
About the charity : The Place2Be The Place2Be
The Place2Be is a school-based service dedicated to improving children’s and families mental health and emotional wellbeing. We offer counselling in 146 schools to 47,000 children and parents, alongside dedicated support and training for school staff members. By giving children the chance to explore their problems through talking, creative work and play, we enable them to cope now and to make better-informed decisions about their lives. Divorce, neglect, long-term family illness, bereavement, domestic violence and abuse are just some of the difficulties The Place2Be helps children and their families deal with. By supporting our Now, not Later campaign you are helping us reach 80,000 children by 2010. The Place2Be - making a lifetime’s difference to children in schools Now, not Later. Personal message:

The Back2School Campaign officially starts with Boss in Detention on Tuesday March 4th 2008.

Thirteen senior managers are to be put into detention for 15 minutes each.

Their aim is to raise as much money as possible for The Place2Be.

The Detention List and times:

Mark Seligman - 8:30

Wenceslao Bunge - 9.00

Helen Bostock - 9.30

James Walker - 10.30

Brad Novak - 11.00

Laura Barrowman - 11.30

George Maddison - 14.30

Stefano Toffolo - 15.00

Please show your support by making a donation, including their name in the comments box!

As part of The Back2School Campaign, The Place2Be will begin working in schools in Tower Hamlets to provide much needed counselling and emotional support to some of the most vulnerable children in the borough.

What your donation will provide?

£50 will train one of our professional volunteer counsellors who provide direct counselling and support to vulnerable children.

£95 will provide counselling and support to a child for a year.

£500 will buy all the toys and equipment for a Place2Be room where children explore and deal with their feelings and problems through creative play.

£16,500 will support a School Counsellor who will be able to provide support for 400 children a year.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a donation. The Place2Be will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you for your support.
