The VCMF is a fund I set up in memory of my dear mum who left a huge hole in all our lives on December 8th 2008 when she lost her short battle with cancer aged just 50. This page is to keep her memory alive whilst supporting others.

Hello!

And thank you for visiting the latest fundraising page of the Veronica Claxton Memorial Fund as we continue the huge task of trying to raise a Quarter of a million pounds for CLIC Sargent children with cancer. 2016 was a great year for us with over £60,000 raised. Target 250k went past £120,000 and all time fundraising moved into the £200,000's.

2017 promises to be just as special and April sees us hit the Tarmac with various running challenges spread across 3 weekends.

On April the 17th we tackle Marathon number 1 in Boston as Me, Liam Johnson, Ben Neal and Rob Drage get the ball rolling.

April 23rd just 6 days later sees me attempt London Marathon number 3, Martine Benjafield will join me for her first VLM.

On April 30th lots of us will get together to run our own marathon from Cambridge back to our friends and family at the riverside in Huntingdon. Some will run all. Some will run some but everybody's support and commitment is hugely appreciated. So far down to do some running on April 30th we have, Me, Carl Foreman, Rob Drage, Liam Johnson, Paul Sudbury Martine Benjafield, Matty o'Connor and George and Joey Claxton.

As always a huge thank you to everybody for supporting us, absolutely anything you can give to support your friends and family is so very much appreciated.

Cheers

Luke Claxton
