It&rsquo;s an annual European driving event which is gaining more and more interest each year and raises much neede<span class="text_exposed_show">d funds for the Help for Heroes charity who support British Forces personnel who have been injured when on Operations in Afghanistan and other hostile environments. <br><br>This year will see a team from our station, RAF Boulmer, drive a car costing no more than &pound;250 from the UK into France and stopping at James Bond filming locations in Chantilly, Zurich, the Furka Pass, Lake Como, Turin and finishing up in Monaco. It is open to anybody who wants to get involved. Due to the nature of the Help for Heroes charity, the majority of teams are military but the general public may enter too.<br><br>Each team needs to raise a minimum of &pound;200 for the charity. The cost of the vehicle, fuel, insurance, tax, breakdown cover etc. will be paid for by sponsors hopefully, failing that we will share the cost between team members.
