PCC of Patterdale - 2011 Patterdale Parish Boundary Walk · 2 July 2011 ·

The P.C.C. of Patterdale raises funds to support St Patrick's Church in Patterdale. We also support the annual Patterdale Boundary Walk in aid of St Patrick's Church and Patterdale Primary School, with all donations split across the two organisations. Many thanks for your generous support.

Story

We're at it again, walking many miles and up numerous fells around Patterdale in the Lake District in aid of the local school and church. Our plans are a little different this year as Joanna will be 7 months pregnant at the time of the walk. Not that it gets her off the hook completely, as she will be walking her baby bump the 7 miles from Kirkstone Pass down to Patterdale School. Simon, on the other hand, is trying to convince two of his brothers-in-law to accompany him on some or all of the full 30 mile, 10,000 feet route (that's a marathon and a bit plus a third of an Everest and a bit).

There is more information on this annual event on their website (http://www.patterdalewalk.co.uk) and Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Patterdale-Parish-Boundary-Walk/125441617478993).

Like previous years we will be making a contribution ourselves to support a part of the UK we love and spend much time in (and, with recent education cuts, the school really appreciates it). However if you'd like to support our efforts and admire Joanna's determination (if not my post-walk throbbing knees) we'd be really chuffed.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
