Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page!

All money raised will go to The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research.

On July 1st 2009 we will be starting a 1000 mile bike ride to Barcelona. This two week epic will take us from the ferry in Calais to Barcelona in Spain.

The three of us have an equal measure of youth ( Laurence and Dodge- combined age 36) and experience (I guess that will be  Tom -  age 41!)

We will be carrying all our kit on the bikes and will stay in the cheapest accomodation we can find.

Fortunately our fluent French and Spanish ( ha ha!!) will ensure communication with the locals on route wil not be a problem. If all else fails -we are all really good at hand gestures and charades.

We have received great help from one of our sponsors www.barcelonaflats.co.uk  who are helping us with accomodation in Barcelona and also publicising our ride in Spain.

If you feel as though you can sponsor us please do so via this website.

Thanks.

Tom, Dodge and Laurence.
