The London Phoenix Orchestra is one of London's finest non-professional orchestras. It provides high quality music making opportunities for talented amateur musicians from all walks of life and gives many extremely enjoyable concerts.

Story

On Saturday 27th January 2007, the London Phoenix Orchestra under the baton of Levon Parikian will attempt a musical marathon and perform all of Brahms' orchestral works in one day. As far as we are aware, the Brahmsathon is a unique musical event. With 11 pieces and over 6 hours of playing it is a veritable marathon for only the most dedicated or foolhardy musician! It will also be a musical feast and a celebration of the London Phoenix Orchestra's love of music making in support of two very worthwhile causes. By supporting the Brahmsathon, you will be helping the London Phoenix Orchestra secure its future and enabling many more children to benefit from the invaluable work done by Jessie's Fund. Our aim is to raise £5000 from the event which will be split evenly between the two charities... Please give what you can and support our musical marathon! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support the Brahmsathon. The Insurance Orchestral Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your kind support!
