About our charity
:
Brake, the road safety charity
Brake is a national road safety charity that works to stop death and injury on UK roads and to support people who have been bereaved or injured by a road crash.
Brake runs Road Safety Week, a national awareness-raising initiative in schools, companies and communities, conducts research into the cause of crashes to inform the government and road users, runs an education service for employers to teach them about their responsibilities for safety when running fleets of vehicles and shouts loudly in the media about the importance of road safety to influence drivers to take more care.

| Our personal message: |
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
We are raising money in memory of Beth Secker, a much loved friend and housemate who was taken from us in a car crash on 05/11/06, aged just 21.
We all studied together at The University of Liverpool and shared a house together for 2 years. Beth graduated as a physiotherapist July 2006, a job which we all thought suited her because she was so caring.
Beth was very special to us and we have organised a walk from our old house in Liverpool to her grave in Congresbury, Bristol. This mammoth 200 mile walk will take place in August and we plan to raise as much money as possible for two charities, Brake and Vitalise.
You can donate to both by either giving one of us cash or using www.justgiving.com/brake4beth and www.justgiving.com/vitalise4beth and remember if you are a tax payer please give gift aid! We know that unfortunately car accidents are known to many of us, so please give to show your support for those lost.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Brake, the road safety charity will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
For any further information on this event please contact me at lauraharkness85@hotmail.com
Please donate generously.
Many, many thanks for your support.
