Tandem Parachute Jump · 4 May 2008 ·

Southmead Hospital Charity is the official charity of North Bristol NHS Trust. Together with our donors and fundraisers we deliver world-class projects and comforting items over and above what the NHS funds, to make the biggest difference to patients and their families.

Story

Please sponsor us both to do a 10,000 ft tandem parachute jump on Sunday 4th May 2008, for a new MS centre at Frenchay hospital in Bristol.

BrAMS ( Bristol and Avon Multiple Sclerosis) will provide comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis patient care and carry out disease-orientated research. The unit will provide a regional MS Centre of Excellence, with three MS specialist consultants.

A new clinical care centre will address the needs of patients with MS and newly refurbished laboratories will allow for expansion of MS-related research programmes already established in Bristol, including bone marrow stem cell treatment, for which human trials started last year.
