I have a rally mini (Classic one) which has been built by my Dad and myself. I would like to compete in the Manx Classic 2011 Hillclimb which takes place on Thursday 28th April, Friday 29th April and Saturday 30th April 2011. The Hillclimbs are the Governor's Sprint, The Sloc Hillclimb and Lhergy Frissell Hillclimb on the Isle of Man.
I am planning on getting sponsorship to do this event and others and give 100% to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.There is also an opportunity to sponser the running of the car also, please visit the website for more details.
What I'm going to do is put a large decal of the breast cancer symbol, with my own "mini" design incorporated on the roof of the car.On the bonnet I will have breasts in a bra stuck on using a vinyl wrap, as well as other decals on the side and back of the car.
I will also be building a website (http://www.breastcancermini.com) with updates on the building of the car and any other details.
I have contacted my local breast cancer research charity, http://breakthrough.org.uk/groups/isle_of_man/,
and they are very supportive of the idea. They have also said they can get local newspaper articles and maybe radio support too.
