My story

Brendan Powell, 51, won the National in 1988 on Rhyme’n’Reason surviving perhaps the most monumental blunder ever at Bechers Brook on the first circuit where he was left last in the field!  In the same year he rode the great Pegwell Bay to win the Massey-Ferguson Gold Cup.  During his 17 year career Brendan rode 684 winners.  From 2000 he has been training both flat and National Hunt horses and is now based in Upper Lambourn.
