Zoe's Place is a home from home for babies/infants who have life limiting illnesses, terminal, special and complex needs. Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I am the organiser of The Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group which I started in 2006 following the death of The Great North Air Ambulance Cumbria crew Dr, Rupert Bennett. Our sole aim is to raise funds for GNAA and Zoes Baby Hospice. Full details can be obtained from our web site at www.boundary500.co.uk please feel free to register on the forum.

One of the events I organise to raise funds for The Great North Air Ambulance is called the Boundary 500 Motorcycle Challenge a 500 miles ride around the area covered by GNAA. In June 2007 two of our motorcycles were in collision with a car only a few miles from the finish. Andy Groves was seriously injured and the other rider John Toner was killed. John was a lovely chap and left a wife Kendra and a baby son 18 months old and a daugher 12 years of age. The driver of the car was found to be over the legal limit for alcohol and is appearing at Crown Court as a result of the incident.

John worked as a child minder with his wife. It was therefore appropriate that we do something for Johns family and appropriately seeing as he was a child minder something for Zoes Place. In August 2007 we held our first JT Memorial Ride and in the process raised £900 for Johns children and £6.500 for Zoes Hospice.

The JT Memorial ride is now an annual fixture on our calender. The money we raise for Johns kids comes from charging a £10 entrance fee. The money for Zoes hospice comes from the riders and pillions raising sponsorship.

We have just held a Santa riude for the Hospice where 130 Motorcycles all dressed in Santa Suits rode under Police escort through Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar. For a flavour of the event please visit  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAm9g-qfsoM

Please support our efforts.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Zoe's Place Trust - Middlesbrough will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
