Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

The week beginning 21st July 2008 a team of 8 sailors will sail 2 Laser dinghies from Bangor, N.Wales across the Irish Sea to Bangor, N.Ireland.  During the 140 nautical mile sail we will be accompanied by 3 support vessels.

The primary aim of the event is to raise awareness of the work of Mercy Ships through various forms of media coverage.

My wife Christine is a promoter of the work of Mercy Ships here in N.Ireland and is very willing to give a presentation on the charity's work to any interested group.

A big thanks to Norkolk Lines for transporting all the boats in preparation for the event. Also to Rooster Sailing for providing 3 laser sails with promotional graphics!
