I recently met Bryn Parry and was very inspired by the 'Help for Heroes' charity he has set up. I am going to attempt in every way to complete 'The Big Battlefield Bike Ride', beginning at Portsmouth, and ending at the Cenotaph in London, but going via the Normandy beaches, Dieppe, the Somme, Calais and Dover.

My training is going well, the furthest we have to cycle in one day is 72 miles, so I am attempting to get my distances up as much as possible. I have the bike and the lycra, now all I need is your support via sponsorship.

Our brave Army, Navy and Airforce boys and girls all go to war as part of their job, they have no choice. The Iraq and Afghanistan wars are controversial and many do not agree with Great Britain being involved, but the end result is soldiers maimed through no fault of their own who need our help.
