We aim to provide a support fund for the medical staff and patients along with their families, in the hope that we can make a difference by aiding in the purchase of tools and equipment so the staff can better serve the patients.

We are a team of students and young professionals and wish to build the fund through similar young, professional volunteers and supporters. We have a duty to show that we are aware of the challenges being faced every day by these brave babies and recognise that we are not that young any more.

The current small but dedicated team behind the fund have done a fantastic job so far since establishing in March 2014 surpassing a target of £7,000 by the end of the year raising more than £16,966.98 for a number of causes. We are now focussing on surpassing the amount raised in 2014 in order to buy equipment which will prove to be invaluable. We encourage volunteers to identify other areas where we can help and over the year have developed relationships with the Togetherness Foundation, Delete Blood Cancer, Help for Heroes and Khalsa Aid.

In 2014 three donor drives across London have been organised raising more than £7,000 for Delete Blood Cancer and getting more than 500 people signed up to the stem cell donor database. The Happy to Help team also took part in the Help for Heroes British 10km run in London and the 5km Spartan Race raising £2,369 and £725 respectively for soldiers suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) to receive care.

We also took part in the 10km Race for Life to raise awareness for breast cancer raising £392 for Cancer Research and as of February 2015 have joined Khalsa Aid to provide education to those in Punjab, India who were impacted by the events which took place in 1984.

Gurpal Singh Hunjan the founder of Happy to Help has completed a 10 day Trek along the Great Wall of China in October 2014 raising £2,363.98 with an additional £545 added by Bloomberg due to efforts of Mandip Sappal, with all money raised going towards the fund.

We would like to make as many young adults, professionals and organisations aware of Happy to Help, and believe that we as a community worldwide can increase the exposure to the fund and our team primarily to inspire others to join in, or to donate and support.
