My son Charlie had Meningitis when he was 10 months old in 2004. It was a scary time but we came through it, and apart from profound deafness in one ear he recovered completely. MT do fabulous work helping families deal with the after-effects of the disease. They run a 24hr helpline for anyone worried about it and promote awareness to limit the disease's devastating effects.
