Story

Thanks for visiting our page!

We are a team of Professionals including Consultant Cardiologists, Cardiac Registrars, Staff Nurses, Cardiac Nurse Specialists and Cardiac Physiologists.

We are raising money for equipment and resources for the Cardiac Ward at Bristol Children's Hospital. In order to do this we have set ourselves a challenge .... to climb the National 3 Peaks (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England & Snowdon in Wales) in 24 hours on the 3rd and 4th of September this year!

Participants are: Leonie Wong, Guido Pieles, Rob Martin, Andy Tometzki, Ben Tometzki, Will Byron, Harri Smith, Shannon Delorme, Lisa Patten, Richard Patten, Jessica Hughes, John Hughes, Debbie Riddiford, Vanessa Garratt, Nicola Spray, Sam Pidner, Sarah Davis, Alanna Allen, Reuben Holt, Sue Simpson, Ian Sleigh, Deirdre Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Gary Marsh, Owen Burgess, Marie Campbell, Michael Frost, Cathy Harrington, Robert Allen, Jill Martin and Catherine Armstrong.

The Children we care for suffer from a wide range of illnesses including congenital heart defects and heart rhythm problems. The nature of these problems means that many of our Children will be cared for in our hospital and keep coming back for life for surgery, 'keyhole' or other medical procedures.

Staying in hospital can be a stressful time for both the children and their families. Because of this we want to make our ward as comfortable and inviting as possible. We hope to improve the quality of their stay here by using the money to purchase items such as nursing chairs for breastfeeding mothers, sensory lights, pushcars and bumper seats for the children.

We, the Children and their families would so appreciate your help and support in completing this challenge!

Thank you!
