On 31st July, together with 2 fellow masochists, I aim to complete the British 3 peaks challenge by climbing the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours (or thereabouts!).
The mountains are Ben Nevis (4,406ft), Scafell Pike (3,206ft) and Snowdon (3,560ft) – in all the challenge involves some 26 miles of ascent and descent, with total travel approaching 475 miles.
To take some of the anticipated pain away I am hoping to raise some money for Starlight – a charity whose aim is to “brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children”.
I hope that the thought of me hobbling or crawling those last few miles will be enough to make you give a donation to such a worthy cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you,
Jeremy.
