Britta passed away on 08/08/2008 after a long and courageous fight against leukaemia. She was the most wonderful wife, mother and friend, and an inspiration to so many. Britta set a fundraising target of £20,000, which has now been surpassed thanks to the efforts of family and our dear friends. 

We are also grateful for the donations received in memory of Pam Faulkner (Granny); who held our family together (along with Lonnie) during the long months of Britta's treatment, and was taken from us on 24/10/2008.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Whilst receiving treatment for leukaemia at London's Hammersmith Hospital I aim to raise money for Leuka. Leuka is a wonderful charity that provides invaluable support in the work to treat and ultimately eliminate leukaemia.  

As many of you know, fundraising began in August 2007 whilst I progressed through bone marrow transplant treatment at the Catherine Lewis Centre, Hammersmith Hospital. During my time as an inpatient we initiated the fundraising effort with "Britta's Ride 4 Leuka", which involved me accumulating many hours on my exercise bike and step trainer. Thankfully I survived both experiences ! Thank you so much for your generous sponsorship of this event.

April 2008 saw me back at The Hammersmith for a second bone marrow transplant. 2008 will also see continued fund raising for Leuka, with the aim of purchasing equipment for the research department, so please continue to donate !
