Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

The Gauchers Association was formed in 1991 and is the only registered UK charity providing support to individuals and families affected by Gaucher disease, acting as the centre point for the Gaucher community working alongside medical professionals, scientists and pharmaceutical industry.

Story

This is a multiple donation page for several events to be completed by two brothers during April 2009. Jake and Dan are aiming to complete the London Marathon whilst Dan is also aiming to complete the Paris Marathon 3 weeks before London.

We have decided to complete the three marathons for Gauchers Association having found out about the effects of the disease from a colleague whose family has been affected. Any support you can offer will truly make a difference as you will see below.

Many thanks for supporting the Britten Brothers and we look forward to celebrating with you following the completion of London on 26th April.

Many thanks

Jake and Dan

Gauchers Disease is an inherited metabolic disease which causes neurological complications, bone pain and problems affecting many body organs. Severely affected children have a limited life expectation; less severely affected children and adults usually have multiple health problems. The Gaucher Association helps affected families and supports research into the disease.
