This year's August Bank Holiday will take a slightly different form for the Britten brothers. Instead of spud digging in Somerset, we, along with the help of two others, will be swimming the English Channel...
Leaving Dover in the early hours of Sunday 28th August, we hope to arrive in Cap Gris Nez (between Calais and Boulogne, 21 miles away) about 15 hours later.
Whilst this is a personal challenge that we have both wanted to complete for a while, we will also be raising money for Pump Aid, a charity that works to combat the ongoing global water and sanitation crisis - something particularly relevant in East Africa currently.
Pump Aid establish sustainable supplies of clean water and safer sanitation provisions through the development of innovative, cost-effective and community-centred technology. For more information please visit:

Whilst we will both be fairly sick of the water by the time we arrive in France, those benefiting from the work of Pump Aid certainly will not. Anything you can give to support this charity would be hugely appreciated so just follow the simple, fast and totally secure link to help make a difference.
Thanks,
Dan & Jake
