Stonewall is working for equality and justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals through campaigning and lobbying Parliament and Government and working in partnerships with organisations outside Parliament. Stonewall's current major campaigns are to ensure the ending of homophobic bullying in schools and harassment in the workplace, securing equal legal treatment in areas where it doesn’t already exist, and promoting fair coverage in the print and broadcast media.

My story

Dear Friends and Family,

We are looking forward to seeing you on our wedding day. We feel very privileged to have our friends and family joining in celebrating our future life together. We are also lucky to be able to live at a time and in a country where we can publicly recognize our relationship and we feel that we could ask for nothing more than your support and love.

If you want to give us a gift to mark the occasion, we would rather you made a donation to our chosen charity – Stonewall. It is one of the main organisations that has fought for the recognition of same sex partnerships and we want them to be able to continue their valuable work.

	As a gay man born in the late 60s, I thought a 2-groom wedding cake would remain only in my fantasies! Saturday it was reality, for 2 dear friends. Donation by David M 26/05/09
