Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The Bullock Smithy Challenge is a 56 mile walk around the Peak district over 24 hours. Thats further than walking from London to Brighton or Manchester to Lancaster!! We attempted to do this walk last year and only Wendy completed it.  This year we have 2 new members of the group (Wendy said 'Never again!') and wanted to have a fundraising target to spur us on in the long night hours.  We are all Mums with a total of 12 children between us.  We all know how hard childbirth is, even in a modern western hospital with drugs and surgeons on hand.  In Africa fairly normal complications that would not be an  issue here leave woman incontinent for life, outcasts from their families and quite often with a still born baby.  Please see our chosen charity's website for more information about these poor women's plights.
