Story
'Because we're here, no one has to face Parkinson's alone.'
Thanks for visiting our page!
Richard and Raymond Roocroft will be cycling from London to Paris in aid of Parkinsons UK, a charity close to our hearts.
Parkinson’s disease is a cruel progressive neurological condition affecting movements, such as walking, talking and writing.
There are 120,000 people with Parkinson’s in the UK alone and around 10,000 are diagnosed with the condition each year.
Of those, one in 20 people is under the age of 40. There is currently no cure.
The ride will be dedicated to their Mother, Melanie, and Grandmother, Margeret, who were both diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2012.
Having seen the effects of Parkinson's personally, it is a privilege to be able to provide support to both their family and others.
Richard and Raymond will also be carrying out other charity events between 2013-14 to raise as much as possible for the cause, including a sponsored head shave/body wax, sponsored Bake-Off and other activities.
