The Rose Road Association

Over the past 55 years, the Rose Road Association has worked with many hundreds of young people from across Hampshire and the south of England. The young people who attend Rose Road have complex and multiple disabilities, requiring a range of specialist care and equipment.

Rose Road also provides support and information and believes passionately in valuing individuals, respecting their choices and celebrating their achievements.

In order to carry out our work the money raised through our fundraising activities makes a vital difference and helps to pay for transport, therapy and all of the other services which are so important, as well as helping our young people to enjoy themselves and have fun!

Change My Life Appeal – supporting families and carers

A year after launching Change My Life we have been able to do so much, providing music therapy sessions and specialist equipment through to wonderful day trips and activity days which otherwise would not have been possible.

We are now setting ourselves a target to raise £500,000 to do more to support not just our young people but also the families and carers of those who attend Rose Road, benefiting from the innovative and creative opportunities we know make a real difference to our school, outreach and respite services.

Caring for a child with complex disabilities can be very challenging and the help and advice provided by the Association is often a lifeline for those who need our support.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. After completing John O'Groats to Lands End last year I had planned to take a year off from charitable fundraising. However, when Gary invited me to help Rose Road for 2009 I had no hesitation in accepting. This will be my 19th consecutive year of charitable fundraising in sporting events but my first with my 'new hips' following my double hip replacement in November 2008.
