My story

Thank you for visiting my Child Welfare Scheme CWS fund raising page. CWS aims to create the power and opportunity for the poorest people in Nepal to transform their own lives. In particular CWS provides funding, training and technical support to Nepalese organisations that implement projects for children and young people and advocate for their rights.

Out of every 100 children in Nepal, 42 live below the poverty line, 48 will be malnourished and 7 will die before their 5th birthday.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure! It’s also the most efficient way to donate directly to CWS.

By undertaking various adventure challenges and ultra challenge events; I aim to generate interest and support for the work of CWS. All money raised through the challenges I participate in go directly to the Child Welfare Scheme.

CWS www.cwsuk.org  gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

One step at a time: Over the next few years I hope to run through 4 of the worlds greatest deserts which consists of:

·         250km though the Gobi desert in China.

·         250km through the Atacama Desert in Chile.

·         250km through the Sahara Desert in Egypt.

·         250km through Antarctica.

In addition to the distance to be travelled and dealing with the realities of these extreme environments, I must also carry all my own equipment, food and will only be provided with water and a place to sleep in a tent each night.

Why you may ask? Quite simply I am doing this to raise funds for CWS and increase the awareness of the plight of the children of Nepal!

The challenge itself is part of the Racing the Planet series, for more detailed information go to http://www.racingtheplanet.com/

So please donate to CWS and make a positive difference to the children of Nepal.
