Story
So Bruce @ London Marathon 2005!!
Can He Make It?
After a protracted period of training, concentrating mainly on purging the world of red wine, wandering the streets late at night in search of the elusive slimming kebab and watching the Olympics in the Red Lion the answer is probably 'NO, he can't'
The Flora London Marathon has decided to include me as a possible pacemaker for Paula Radcliffe's latest attempt on the world record. Whilst I am grateful for this opportunity to have a realistic stab at fame and the prize money I have decided to 'hang back' a bit and take in the atmosphere of the event. Disappointing as this has been for Paula and the rest of the elite, I am determined to save myself for the faster Rotterdam race later in the year.
I am therefore concentrating on raising money for charity. Please feel guilty for not sponsoring me to raise cash for the Childrens' Hospice South West. This charity is trying to raise enough money to build only the second hospice in the SW for those children who sadly don't have long to live.
Any pain I may (will) feel is nothing compared with that felt by some of our sickest children, help make a small difference.
I am aiming for £1000.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children's Hospice South West will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support Bruce
