Story

Brunel the Bear is embarking on an epic cycle ride in celebration of the North West's civil engineering heritage and to raise money for Engineers for Overseas Development (EFOD).

Accompanied by a group of young engineers (and an accountant) he will be cycling 60 miles along the Bridgewater and Trent & Mersey canals from the centre of Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent where he will be handed over to the West Midlands Brunel the Bear team and continue his UK-wide sustainable relay tour.

All sponsorship pledged here will go directly to the North West EFOD group's inaugural project, to design and construct desperately needed waste management facilities for a hospital in Kumi, Uganda. For more information about the bike ride, Brunel the Bear's Big Journey, or the EFOD NW project, please contact Nick Brookes (nicholas.brookes@aecom.com) or Jack Rose (jack.rose@aecom.com).
