Massif Midi Cycle Challenge · 13 May 2009

For 25 years, we have organised cycle events, mainly in Europe. We have raised a huge £4,378,361 mainly for cancer, heart and other medical research. We pride ourselves that EVERY PENNY that has been raised has been paid to charity - our participants paying the full fees for event entry themselves.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This year I am raising funds for two charities, Cancer Research UK and Pelican. You will be familiar with the former which is the UK's foremost charity channeling funds into cancer projects across the country. The latter charity, Pelican, is focussed on developing precision surgery for cancers of the pelvic region and liver, improving treatment, survival and quality of life for patients with these cancers. For more details their website is www.pelicancancer.org

This year I am doing two cycling events. Firstly, I am cycling 560 miles across France in an individual event from Bordeaux to Avignon in 7 days, about 80 miles a day, quite a challenge on its own! Then, assuming I survive this event, in September I am doing the CAC Alpine Challenge, which is a team event which starts from Laon, and skirts around the Jura Mountains along the Swiss border down to Annecy. This event is 500 miles, but as there are 4 of us in each team, we are expected to complete the course in 3 days!

As usual in these events I am paying my own way and my own kit and travelling expenses, so that every penny I raise will go to the two chosen charities. So please be generous and sponsor me now! As this is a time of austerity, I promise to contact you only once for the two events, so you get two for the price of one, what a bargain! Sponsor me now while the offer lasts!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Challenge Adventure Charities gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you, Thank you, thank you!!!
