Re-engage helps people aged 75 and older to overcome loneliness and social isolation through volunteer-led social activity groups and telephone befriending. Your support can help provide a lifeline of friendship and give lonely older people something special to look forward to.

Story

"The time I feel most lonely is after six o'clock at night but when I have been out to a Contact tea then I don't feel lonely at all, just fresh memories of a lovely afternoon out with friends"

Please sponsor BSkyB team running for Contact the Elderly in the 2007 British 10K on Sunday 1st July.

Every runner has paid for their place out of their own pocket so every penny raised will be used to help launch the groups.  We'll keep all sponsors updated with their progress and let you know when they first meet - so you can see where your money has gone, and what difference your kind gifts have made.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Contact The Elderly will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please, please, please give as much as you can.
