Happy Birthday Louis Braille
This year marks the 200th birthday of Louis Braille, a man whose life was devoted to the creation of the Braille alphabet. His life has left an incredible legacy.
Praise God for Braille and the access it provides blind people to the Word of God!
Bible Societies are involved in a range of Braille translation projects but need help to keep these projects going. The cost of producing a Braille Bible is about 50 times higher than the cost of a printed Bible.
So far, a complete Braille Bible has only been published in around 40 languages - that is out of 6,912 languages!
Please help us make God's Word available to more people who rely on Braille to read.
