Great Lakes Outreach (GLO)

GLO works in partnership with local organisations in Central Africa (notably Burundi), to help the people who help the people, providing financial, logistical and advisory assistance. Main focus is evangelism and discipleship through churches and schools, printing and teaching materials, fighting AIDS, street children and orphans, and encouraging an informed dialogue between different ethnic and religious groups (Muslims and Christians).

My story

Thank you for visiting Great Lakes Outreach's general fundraising page. Please dig deep so Simon Guillebaud and his team can provide the help the Burundian children and youth so desperately need.

Your donation gives Simon and Great Lakes Outreach the ability to meet needs as they arise. GLO support many humanitarian causes in Burundi, helping the many orphans and street children caused by the past years of genocide and pandemic aids. GLO also work with groups that help women. Burundi is tenatatively recovering, but still suffers famine in many parts of the country.

Simon's role at Scripture Union is in the Department of Evangelism, as well as being delegated the task of fundraising for the organization. He is working under the leadership of the national movement, and is accountable in Burundi to them.
