GLO support many humanitarian causes in Burundi, helping the many orphans and street children caused by the past years of genocide and pandemic aids. GLO also work with groups that help women. Burundi is tenatatively recovering, but still suffers famine in many parts of the country.
Simon's role at Scripture Union is in the Department of Evangelism, as well as being delegated the task of fundraising for the organization. He is working under the leadership of the national movement, and is accountable in Burundi to them.
