Story

Please don’t frown upon me, when I tell you I am running the London Marathon again. Sorry for being a pain, but….

I NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!

I was fortunate enough to secure a place direct with the London Marathon, which enables me to run for whichever charity I like. So it felt like it was the right thing to do and get the trainers back on and support a charity that hopefully has a purpose that will mean something to all of you: the NSPCC - Cruelty to children must stop. FULL STOP. Please have a look at their website  www.nspcc.org.uk to see the amazing work they do for the vulnerable and abused children here in the UK.

Please remember, that these children have no one to help them or keep them safe and without the work of the NSPCC many would be left, abused, terrified every minute of every day, and are left to suffer in silence.

In 2012 / 2013 of every £1 they collected, 79p was spent on children to end cruelty, 20p on administration to fund the next £1 and 1p on Governance to meet their statutory requirements. So 99p is straight to the charity….that is pretty good going.

I know the world is skint right now and we are doing what we can to survive and give where we can. Whatever you can afford to offer, would be superb and greatly received by these children. Remember unlike other charities, these kids are totally reliant on people like us…They have no one to help them.

Many many thanks
