16 riders will depart on Friday 6th June 2008 from the west coast of England and cycle across the country arriving on Sunday 8th June 2008 on the east coast after 140 miles of road, track and hill top climbs. The riders will be from the National Health Service (NHS) and the event sponsor (CSC) who are a major supplier to the NHS. I'm representing the NHS in the Yorkshire and Humber region, working as I do as the Head of Information Technology at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
I believe that the work that Barnsley Hospice does is vital for the people living and working in and around the Barnsley area. They rely on charitable donations for 50% of their income and your donation today would help them continue in their work.
