This navigational challenge is being undertaken by Sion Jair, an Alzheimer sufferer for some years, and his partner Wendy Kolbe. Sion and Wendy are in their 60s, Sion is in his mid to late 60s, he is physically very fit and he climbs mountains almost every day which has helped to delay the effects of the illness. 

Being very active in the mountains, Sion is aware of the possible dangers that hill walkers and climbers can encounter and therefore the Mountain Rescue teams offer a vital voluntary service so that people can have full access and enjoy outdoors activities.
