My Dad was cared for at Blackpool Victoria Hospital before he passed away suffering from vascular dementia. Having read about the sponsored treck it reignited a wish to visit The Grand Canyon and because of the care and attention all the staff gave to my dad and family I decided I should fulfil a dream with the opportunity to give back something to the hospital. I have seen some of the benefits the charity has provided such as the 'memory corridor' and 'sensory garden' and I have witnessed how much these mean both to patients and their families. These are the reasons I am funding my trip, ensuring all donated money goes to the charity and stays with the charity
