Hi
To celebrate the 150th Anninversary of the Army Cadet Force we are planning to take 8 cadets from Wiltshire Army Cadet Force to Everest Base Camp.
Please help them to raise as much money as they can for Help For Heroes by sponsoring them to undertake this challenge!! The cadets are aged between just 16-18 years old.
They will be participating in the strenuous walk for 14 days. Tackling 5-6 hours walks on consecutive days over extremely challenging terrain. Much of the trek is spent at altitude close to and in excess of 4000m and two high points are attained: Minor Summit of Chuhukhung Ri, and Kala Patthar (5550m). This is such a strenuous climb the cadets have to have an excellent level of fitness.
In Sir Ranulph Fiennes journal from his trip in May 2008, he passed 3 frozen dead bodies on his way to Base Camp!!
Soooo why are they putting themselves through this??....They will climb 5550 metres over 14 days in aid of Help For Heroes.
Please help the cadets to help Help For Heroes and sponsor them to do this challenge.
