Walk the West Highland Way · 1 May 2008

We are Scotland's only music therapy charity and help people with a wide range of conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy and dementia. We provide almost 400 sessions a week to children and adults facing serious health challenges. Our work improves communication, well-being and quality of life.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Whatever you can spare (even if its laundry money) would be greatly appreciated! See below for more details on this great cause!

Summer Rain Recordings is gearing up to make the most of their charitable giving this year with some exciting new projects. News of their altruism and drive to make a difference is already creating a buzz, and to continue this momentum, SRR is constantly devising new and creative ways for musicians to make a difference.

One of the highlights of this forward thinking is a project by Shona Maguire (aka Plum) who has recently organized a fundraiser to walk the West Highland Way in Scotland. Taking place on August 13th, she will be joined by fellow SRR artist, Caitlyn Hessell, to make the 94 mile trek over a seven day period.

Proceeds from the event will be going to Nordoff-Robbins, an innovative non-profit that is the largest provider of Music Therapy in the UK. To learn more about music therapy and the ways in which is can help those suffering from disabilities, abuse, or terminal illness, visit their website at http://www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk
