Story

In August 2009, a group of students from Churchill College (University of Cambridge, UK) will attempt to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Machame route (for more information, see our website - link above) in order to raise money for the charity Village Education Project Kilimanjaro (VEPK). We will then spend some time in Tanzania in smaller groups, doing various different things: voluntary work for charities including VEPK, academic projects, travelling around and seeing the country.

We have chosen to raise money for VEPK because it is a charity which does fantastic work local to the area where we will be staying; we will be able to see directly where the money that we raise is being used, and some of us will be able to do voluntary work for VEPK after the climb.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Village Education Project Kilimanjaro gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks!
