Story

Aftercare Coronavirus Appeal

Please help us support vulnerable young people during this challenging time. Care experienced young people and their children are really struggling just now as they dont have a family network to support them. Our front line staff are offering additional support to these young people who were already living in poverty and many will struggle to meet their basic needs.

That's why we're asking you for your vital support and donate what you can to our Aftercare Coronavirus Appeal. With your help we can make hardship payments to those families to help them secure food, baby formula, household essentials, toiletries, power cards and more, so donate now! This fund would also allow us to stock our food bank which is vital for these families. No one should go without food, power, toilet roll and essentials during this challenging time. Many of the young people we support are struggling with mental health issues and this added pressure and stress can cause triggers, we want to support our families and young people.

Thats why were asking the public to make a small donation if you can afford to do so. If we all come together as a nation and help in a small, affordable way, it will make a huge difference to the most vulnerable in society as we help them through these unprecedented times. Thank you.

RCN SC013890
Dean & Cauvin provide a range of supports to young people making the transition from being looked after and accommodated, to living independently in the community. We provide supported residential placements and single supported tenancies to young people between the ages of 15 and 21 years and offer a ‘Continuum of Care’ based on early intervention and relationship building to young people through our dedicated Through-Care and Aftercare Service. Our residential service also provides accommodation to young mums and their children, offering parenting support and assessment, with a community base care and support package provided at the end of the residential placement. Dean & Cauvin also run Room4U, a fostering service providing high quality full time and short break foster placements for teenagers and young parents and babies accommodated by local authorities in Scotland. Our foster carers provide skilled care and support to the young people so that placements last as long as needed and benefit the young people and babies concerned.
